The Faculty Welfare Committee advises the faculty and the administration on matters concerning faculty compensation, salary benefits, and related matters.  They confer annually with the administration on matters related to faculty benefits and salaries and confer as needed in any process related to a statement of financial exigency.  The committee also is charged with reviewing the Faculty regulations and making recommendations to the assembly for amendments.  It does not enter into binding contracts on behalf of the faculty, nor does it advocate on the behalf of individual members of the faculty.  It is a statutory committee of the Faculty Assembly.
