Collection Historical Note
The Committee on Aims was established in relation to the early 1970’s curriculum review. Rather than looking at specific curricular issues, the Aims committee focused on the overall aims of the college. It looked at the expectations of a liberal education as considered by the College. The committee provided a report which laid out the aims, how the admissions policy interacts with it, and some generalities related to the curriculum.
