Records Relating to Local Administration Vermon... | Saint Michael's College Archives & Special Collections

In 1945, Superior General Nicolle and the Bishop of Burlington arranged for the Society to take over the administration of a group of parishes in Southern Vermont.  The Society administered them from the novitiate, which was then located in Putney.  The missions include Our Lady of Mercy in Putney, St. John Berchman in West Dummerston, Our Lady of the Valley in Townshend, St. Edmund of Canterbury in Saxtons River, Our Lady of Hope in Wardsboro, and the Chapel of the Snows in Stratton.    The administration was  dependent upon the needs of the parishes at a given time.  The series is arranged alphabetically.
