Scope and Contents of the Materials

Beginning in the 1960’s, a member of the Society was assigned to act as the communications director. In the early years, the communications directory was rpimarily repsonsible for Public relations and press releases. By the 1980’s though, this job had evolved and the director served a broader role in marketing the society. One of the largest and most innovative tasks was development of Common Life, a mgazine overseen by the communications director. The bulk of these files is related to publication of Common Life, although other material from the 1990s related to publications from various apostolates of the society is also included.
