Scope and Contents of the Materials
The Risk Management and Safety Committee, formerly the Safety Committee, is an administration ad hoc committee. After the Board of Trustees gave the committee its full support around 2002, the committee changed its name and became more active. The committee’s mission statement is “the primary focus of the Safety Committee is to work to have a safe work place for faculty, staff, students, and guests. It is guided by Federal, state, and local regulations regarding safe work protection.” They publish the guidelines for safety on the college campus, including dorm room and OSHA regulations.
