The Campus culture committee incorporated a broad range of constituents from across campus, including students, faculty members, and members of the residential life staff. Pres. Reiss formed the committee in 1987 to “bring about a culture of student campus life which is more supportive of academic achievement.” It reported to the Pres. Reiss and the cabinet and was to make recommendations to the president about promoting academic achievement.
